Melissa B 2 years agoI always think it's funny when people jump like that, especially the people on the edges of the crowd. I almost typed hump. "I always think it's funny when people hump like that..." -
trp0 2 years agoAt some shows I've been too, sometimes it's not so easy to tell the difference between "jump" and "hump" in the motion of the crowd :) -

Brooklyn Kitchen 2 years agoA long time ago, when punk rock was young (read: still alive), kids sometimes couldn't see the stage and would jump up and down in order to see better. Sometimes it would go to the beat of the music...sometimes it wouldn't. Other kids imitated it. The move became a thing. A dance. A verb. You'd go to the see a punk show to drink and "pogo." It was fun. -
trp0 2 years agoThere was a period back in the mid-to-late ninties when the frat boys discovered "the pit" and I stopped participating. The appeared to have decided that it was appropriate to try and cause as much damage to other people as possible rather than take a chance that everybody could have fun instead of just a couple assholes.
