Kineme OpenCV Quartz Composer Demo
This demo shows off the OpenCV Patch from kineme.net. It tracks where the user clicks, and draws lines connecting the points.
It also makes use of a few other custom patches for simplicity.
After the background is blanked, rapid motion causes it to slowly lose tracking, causing the jumbled mess of lines. Better lighting addresses this, but I left it in for artistic effect.
You can find the composition here: kineme.net/OpenCVPatch20080207beta#comment-988 (you'll need an account to access stuff that's in beta)

hob 1 year agooh wow. that's amazing. OpenCV is coming in Snow Leopard, am I right? Or is it already out there? -
David Stolarsky 1 year agoYou're thinking of OpenCL. OpenCV is a computer vision library maintained by Intel that's been around for quite some time -
Christopher Wright 1 year agoIt's not in snow leopard -- we wrote the opencv patch. It's still in beta, but it's freely available if you sign up for an account on kineme.net/ -- be sure to enable the beta tester check box! :) -
Philipp 7pc 1 year agoHm, veeery cool. But still, as I'm running on little Tigger, I'll be thanking you for posting the composition later on ;] -
