  • awesome revival! i love the 4 minutes of A/B 1/2 sign preparations. haha....maybe you could use a hat to signify person B...

either way, great dialogs - i completely understood what you were saying.

pronunciation-wise, just keep in mind that the vowels are just like spanish vowels. for example, the 'o' always sounds like:
    -poke
    -hope
    -no

it shouldn't ever be pronounced like:
    -song
    -Tom

    Does that make sense?

Also, usage-wise, I very rarely heard the term 'anata' used while I was in Japan. Even though I'd learned it all through school--and I was never told not to use it--it just doesn't seem to be part of authentic, regular Japanese.

they just kind of perceive the subject of the sentence based on context.

    e.g.
    A: sumimasen...eigo ga wakarimasuka?
B: iie, watashi ha eigo ga wakarimasen.

(actually, it's more likely that B would use "wakaranai," which is slightly less formal.)

either way, hooray for goalproving revivals. i've just set a weekly goalproving alarm on my calendar, and you're the first person on the list!

do you want me to only remind you every other week?

Lets say I'm due every other week on Sunday. That gives me Saturday to make the thing since during the week is taken up with things like child care and cooking and work.

Can you give me examples of the words I'm off on? I'm afraid a little of it is an accent problem. Being from the south I do things like say "i" as "ah" and I don't hear it that way. I also have the issue that all I have right now is purely audio so I'm guessing at spelling or doing Google searches and hoping I got the right word

the cd's I'm using are also a little inconsistent on the use of watashi and not using it but yeah, from what I've read it's really not used
