Taking a cruise

Taking a cruise along San Andreas Rd. Shot at around 6:30PM with about an hour or so left until Sunset.
Using the Aiptek A-HD at 720P 30FPS ~4Mbps attached to a GorillaPod SLR which was clinging to the dash of my Subaru. It was very shaky but speeding it up somewhat helped.
Edited with Sony Vegas 7 and rendered to 720P WMVHD at 6Mbps. Original footage was 30 minutes. Sped it up to a little over 7 minutes.
The fixed lens helps out when shooting from a car. The Aiptek is not meant for motion though.
Looking into a Sanyo HD1000 with its 60FPS 720P mode.
Song is Master of Puppets by Metallica performed by Apocalyptica.

Thanks,

Not sure about the battery but I'd say probably an hour.
With an 8GB card you can shoot 4 hrs of 720P footage.
When I asked for the footage, I should have said 'some' footage, just to see the raw level of quality without the sped-up artefacts.
Any chance of uploading just portion in its raw mov format so I can see how it looks? There are other vids of driving on here but they only last a few seconds!
Thanks,
tinstar
P.S. I really love the setting you live in - very impressive - here in England we have very little expanses like that left, and it's mostly overcast!
I'll try to make a shorter driving clip with the A-HD and post the raw file. In the meantime, you can check out rodfathermobile.com/category/aiptek/
I posted samples in a few blog posts.
I just received a Canon TX1 too so I will try to do some comparison tests with both cams recording a cruise.
