    This is a great video, I really like this.
    I see you use Pinnacle Studio. I use Vegas. This would take me a while to render in vegas. Do you think Pinnacle is faster.

    again great job. What I found to be very good as well is your camera work. You made very smooth movements which is a must with these HD cameras.

    The Snowy Owl's shrill was really creapy.

    I tried using vegas but it wouldn't start on my system (vista 64bit)
    Pinnacle was the only other software I had that could read the avchd format. I was quite impressed with the render time tbh, but to be fair my PC is a monster (water cooled Quad Core) so I would be upset if it wasn't snappy.

    I used a monopod as a sort of homemade steady cam, it actually works really well I thought.

    Thanks, yea I was taken by surprise when they walked down the hill towards the camera. The male literally came up to my fiances shoulders which is scary big for a cat.

    I have been looking at the HDR-SR12 but wanted to see some representative footage. You have shot the same stuff that I like to shoot! Would it be possible to get a short (20-30 seconds) clip of some uncompressed, straight from the camera footage? I want to test some things out on my editing computer.
