I play on two APA (American Poolplayers Association) teams; one is 9-ball, the other 8. This is a minute showing an average Tuesday night playing 8-ball. It's kinda like looking over my shoulder from an Internet distance.

@Tian - Getting you something uncompressed just became too hard [See related post vimeo.com/813153]. So, I tried to keep the clip full size, but iMovie will not de-interlace full size HD (1920x1080), so 720 will have to do. All these clips are in low light conditions - hope this helps with your camera comparisons.

This video displays some of the issues I have been having with my SD1 - horizontal banding on moving objects - see the pool cue at 0:17/0:18. Any ideas what causes this?

I will need to re-export this video. Somehow, the "De-interlace video" box was unchecked - so this clip is not de-interlaced - causing the banding. I will correct it today.

Hmmm... it seems the de-interlace box was checked. Apparently, iMovie 08 doesn't want to de-interlace 1080i content. grr.

I've just come across a cool little app called JES deinterlacer which will deinterlace 1080! Export as full quality from iMovie and then deinterlace and compress (using quicktime interface) using JES.
