See all Show me
I took the HV20 for a test run in the local park. It's my first go at one of these arty-type things. I am sure that all the scenes are either under- or over- exposed and need colour adjustments, I just haven't got my head around all that stuff yet.

Music: Brian Eno- First Light.

Nice work Steve. I didnt see anything glaringly over or under exposed. How much did you have to spend on Alby's ice-cream? Or was it a fake prop?

It was a Festival lolly, a brazen imitation of a Feast, which cost one pound. I treated myself to a Magnum Classic for £1.50.

Nice. Your pan was not very smooth btw. Either your tripod has no fluid head, or you didn't use this trick: eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2007/09/16/the-trick-for-smooth-pans/

Part of the problem is my inexperience at doing pans. Thanks for the link.

Jane was telling me the other day you never do the pans!

I thought the colors looked fine. I noticed some artifacts around some of the trees and other parts that had movement, although it may just be the cheap monitor I have at work. Did you deinterlace the video?
  • SteveR 4 months ago
It's not your cheap monitor, and I did deinterlace. Those artefacts appeared on the compressed version, but not the original. I don't know why or how they appeared.

Lovely job...a nice antidote to the scene and sounds of South Wimbledon. I really must sort my video situation out...harrumph!

What were you thinking about when you started filming 1:09
  • SteveR 4 months ago
I was thinking about your proposed visit to the UK.

Nice work. My favourite shot is at 1:09 - I like that you have something in the foreground, and then the same kind of thing in the background.

Your tree shots at the end look like what we have up here in Scotland just now.
    A bit bare.
I can hear nature coming up soon........
