The camera has so much capabilities to make your film be taken seriously by the watcher, especially with a 35mm lense, to give a nice approach to a cinematic look. This in contrast to lots of the vids out there, that give you that homevideo look, instantly reducing your interest.
Nice short story!
Is that tuvan throat singing on the soundtrack?
the colours were so beautiful, and i'm a big fan of how you didn't go down the path of making the wolf a clumsy caricature, but quite dashing. almost seductive etc. that's refreshing. and loved the gloves too.
Other than that... brilliant work :)
Cool!!! ;)
Also nice that you took the Butterfly-sentence from Death Proof... "The Woods Are Empty, Dark And Deep, And I Have Miles To Go Before I Sleep.."
A first class piece of work by all concerned. I particularly liked the understated soundtrack.
The dissolve at 0:41 was nicely executed and resulted in a very effective transition where Cassandra goes out of frame after a close-up to being in the middle distance :-)
Bravo!

Wearing a hood always makes me feel helpless, claustrophobic, and blind to attack. That tension is very similar to being afraid of the dark. Very nice.
Also, for some reason, the distortion on the wolf's voice reminded me of the distortion on the voice of the killer in "Black Christmas" over the 1978 style telephone. I wouldn't fix it, if you do intend, it's very creepy the way it is.
Thanks
It could so easily have been terrible but you made it really convincing.
Congratulations.
Without strong masculine elements, feminine elements become irrelevant.
No Yin without Yang, not to say "masculine" is male, not to say "feminine" is female.
But the Woodsman was the Wolf's nemesis, no?
Without that element, there is no reason for the Wolf to let Red go. Letting her go for no apparent reason, is more 'ex machina. If hunger was his nemesis, he would have eaten Red, then gone off and eaten the Grandmother. The Wolf also represents lust, and the lust was also held at bay due to the Woodsmen working nearby.
I'm thinking, if you wanted to emphasize the feminine aspect of the original story, you could emphasize naivete' and gullibility, for which the original story was created to warn against. Most of the rest of the story deals with the id.
Just a thought on Little Red.
Have you seen "Freeway" with Reese Witherspoon? Great handling of the feminine potential in Little Red Riding Hood story.
BRAVO!
