Water Voles
A slide show and commentary giving details of Britain's fastest declining mammal. The presentation is made in order to increase public awareness and explains some of the threats facing the water vole.
A press release by DEFRA on 26th February 2008 announced that the water vole will receive protection from the 6th April 2008 when it joins the list of protected species such as the otter and grass snake which already receive protection under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
