1. Inside Granta
Granta will be thirty years old next year. What began life as a student-run, Cambridge-based journal is now a magazine enjoyed and admired around the world.

In December 2007, Granta celebrated its 100th issue. April 2008 sees the publication of 101, an issue with a new look and feel. It also has a new editor, Jason Cowley, a renewed energy, and a revitalised website. In this video, Jason Cowley and Granta’s deputy editor, Alex Clark, discuss the magazine's exciting future.

This is a short film, made to coincide with the publication of Granta 101. Jason Cowley and his team talk about the history of one of the longest-running literary magazines, and the opportunities opened up by the web - both for magazines, and writers.

    Dear Jason and Alex,

Just a quick message to say that I think the website is looking great and I think the way you talked about writing and where Granta is going was very interesting and good luck with it all

A lovely start to the new Granta online. Have been a reader since ~Issue 70 and still occasionally take the Reportage and Travel books to reread on long trips.
