What planes is it, or is it homemade ?
I need a nice slow flyer for my Ariel Photography.
:)
GETF
Good Enough To Fly
This has been an on going project
Started as the GETF
And that plane started out life as a test fuse for wings as I was learning how to cut wings with a bow and hot wire. I used it a lot for A.P.
Once the wing blank was made had to test it to see what it did or did not do.
For the most part if it fly there must be a way to put a camera on it? For the most part that%u2019s what I do.
To join wing half to make one wing would tape the bottom as a hinge and glue the wing. I was thing that that would work for a large wing to go in a small car or just in and out of the house as I fly a lot here at home. It works for me.
Unfold the wing tape the joint and fly
I have small wings and large wings in the shop some good and some not so good.
The bow I use will cut up to 48"
The center part of the wing is 48"
The tips are 24" each 96"(8FT) over all and 11" wide 1" thick.
The plane
The wing 96%u201D(8FT) over all and 11%u201D wide 1 %uFFFD thick. Clark Y Carbon fiber Tube on Leading edge of center of wing.
The fuse 48%u201Dlong 1 %uFFFD wide scrap foam from a smaller wing core. Stiffened with plastic shipping banding and shipping tape. Tail feathers FFF
