No RED One (!), nor even an HV20, but this cheap little HD cam shows some promise -- if you get the settings right. I'm still working on that.

Nicely done! I like that city low-light shooting.

Thank you. Me too. But you've gotta be careful, otherwise you get some really messed up flickering lights.

    krzysiekd,

Sorry, man! If you're still around (I wasn't alerted to your comment). Um, I always use the 1280x720, 60 fps. You have to experiment with ISO. I now only shoot indoors with controlled lighting and I only get good pictures when I set the white balance myself w/ 18% gray card.

I then set it to shutter priority mode (?) and control the shutter speed based on the lighting situation.

That's probably wrong but that's what I do.

    Anthony,

You can use any of this footage if you like. Download the 1280 x 720 file. I believe it was encoded at a fairly high bitrate. Might do the trick. Don't worry about credit.

I'm going to shoot some martial arts stuff tomorrow and will put it up here soon. I want to see how the HD-1000 does with this.

Solid work Aka very clean shots. A great place for a personal story with a no budget or budget setting.
