On March 19th, I received an email from Nike requesting Chicago-based applicants for an ad campaign to promote their running gear. Not meeting the age requirement (18-25), I forwarded it to my friend Matan, a talented young athlete who began running only two years ago (he's training for the 2008 Chicago Marathon with hopes of qualifying for next year's Boston Marathon) and encouraged him to apply.
