Very nice work. It would be interesting to read something about the computer, you edited it with. :)

Hi Christian. I'm using a MacBook Pro, which is a 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo “Santa Rosa” model with 2GB of RAM and OS X 10.5.2. I edited the movie in Final Cut Express 4.0. I use a regular USB 2.0 external hard drive as a scratch disk which seems to speed up editing vs. using the internal drive. Overall editing is snappy but rendering and exporting the video can take a while. I've posted some additional impressions and notes on my blog at seansense.net.

Thanks, Seansense. Your homepage is very interesting, too.
Maybe I`ll own the Sony HDR-SR11, too in a few weeks - but at first I have to buy a new computer :)
I hope a quad Q6600- beast will do do the job...I`m not sure...we`ll see. :)

Very well done! If there was such thing as "Cats Motion Picture Association", you would win their film award!

Great job. Now let's see a video with b/w for everything, but the cat's POV, which would be in HD!

Il filmed two cats in the last five years and I liked very much your little story and the black & white subjective vision of the cat.
Your final effect is surprising and successfull. At first, we really think that the cat jump ! Did you repeate this film footage a lot of times to obtain this natural effect ?
  • Sean 2 years ago
Thanks Theirry. We did about four takes of the cat jump shot. The kitty was a bit confused as to why we kept throwing her on the bed, but she purred the whole time!

    Hi!

Good vid, but you've made one mistake .. "cat view" .. cats don't see b&w, they don't recognize only the red color. :)
