I make all kinds of grimaces all the time - mostly without knowing - sometimes purposefully.

    Forget about it, seriously.

hey i like your video - more real and personal than a lot of stuff that's out there.

    thanks Andrew,
yes, that's what this project is about for me. being real, getting to know myself and learning things concerning myself, the tools i use and other people. thanks for your comment.

i'm really impressed that you're using this public space to get to know yourself. i'm trying to get to know myself too, but i feel more comfortable doing it in front of fewer people. that's what the channel "from me to you" is all about (see my profile). but it's interesting (and again, impressive) to me that you are doing this here, where everyone can see it.

Thank you again Andrew. When i joined the 365group (1 self-portrait every day for a year) at flickr sometime ago i found out that it has immense positive side-effects for my therapy. I did not only learn to see myself a different way through the lens and in my pictures (which usually have had deeper meanings and symbols in them, to keep it interesting and for me to have a way to express), i came to know that strangers, contacts, friends later obviously undestood me far better than close "real-life & offline" friends and relatives. I had a lot of support through mails, comments which helped me a lot. Plus, what i learned as well was that my expressive things helped other depressive people to deal with their shit, cause they found themselves and their issues in my pictures, texts, tags, comments, ... it was a giving and taking and now it is here, with the videos. Some people don't have any chance or ability or talent or whatever to express their emotions. And evertime i managed to show something they felt, they were thankful.
i need to help people in my life you know. I am not doing this for myself only. I am everything but self-centered. No, fact is i don't like myself very much and this self-therapy is also a way to see myself in a different light. Listen to what others think about me. They get to know me better in videos than in pictures i think. It's still hard for me though. Even after 175 days :)

Well i don't get as many feedback as i did back at flickr or ipernity. But i appreciate EVERY single word, comment and question here or wherever as well. It makes me feel that i don't do this for myself only
I left flickr when the censorship for germans took place but finished the project at ipernity.com and for myself.
After a short break i felt the need to go on and even try to do something harder. Since i just had a Macbook and liked to play with videoediting. A friend just opened the 365minutes group at ipernity and later i started it here, still hoping some more people will join.

So thank you again for your interest! I appreciate the time you took to watch and read this.

i appreciate your many thoughtful words. expressing yourself in that way definitely helps others, i think. it encourages other people to get more in touch with themselves too. again, i'm impressed that you're doing it on this scale. usually the language of publicly posted videos is a far cry from what you're developing here.

i see that you're now subscribing to "from me to you"! do you want to exchange videos with someone else? that can be arranged easily. of course, you seem pretty comfortable showing yourself to everyone, so maybe you don't need the private exchange. either way, let me know.
