New Orleanian in Exile -- just saw this on NY1 at my Brooklyn apartment -- thanks for making me miss all of the things that make New Orleans a unique American city! Especially those softshell crabs, yummy! Very cool representation of the NEW New Orleans!

As a recent NOLA convert, this video perfectly captures my experiences there...the vibrancy, the energy, the sights, the friendliness, the TASTES (dear god, the crab, the beignets...). I can't wait to go back. Fantastic video!!! (Melissa in Portland, OR)

I have never seen a clip of the real new orleans. I've always seen the glorified, addicted to motion cinematography and jazz bands at mardi gras. The forced fun-loving chefs and enforced New Orleans stereotype that is only there for tourists. In other words, I've only seen us represented by television executives. But there are real things down there, the river, the people, the violence, the drawl, the depth that can never be represented through the cutesy and commercial. And I urge you to find it.

    New Orleans, LA
