Further Notes:
1a. The pool does not reflect the sky's color but the murky green color of the world.

1b. We do not always reflect God, but the world, in the beginning of our regeneration.

2a. Chlorine "shocks" the pool, while the pool filter works to clear out the filth. One could use tools to scrub and collect leaves, but that does not clean the murky water.

2b. Jesus begins to regenerate us, while our minds work to renew according to truth. One could use self-discipline to legalistically be "clean", but that does not clean the heart.
