Another DOF test with my camera rig.

Canon HV30
Brevis35 DOF adapter
Pentax K-mount f1.4 50mm
24p, TV mode, 1/48 shutter

    wow to much grain !
    Try to block the video gain with a mini SD card, it works well with my hv20.
    1/48 is the shutter speed not the exposure.

    You're right, thanks for pointing that out. I've been having trouble with my HV30 and Brevis. Hopefully when I get my HV20, things will work better.

    why are you downgrading to the HV20??
    i thought the 30 was stacks better?

    The HV20 and HV30 are basically the same. The HV30 is black, has a better LCD and zoom rocker, and can shoot in 30p. Other then that, the quality is the same. It seems that an early batch of HV30s had a problem where the image would vibrate when used with certain DOF adapters. Besides that, I got a great deal on two HV20s.
