HF100 Cinemode outdoor flower comparison
Use download link below right for 15Mbps CBR WMVHD.
Note the default is repeated twice so you see the difference better. Also this is with wide-angle lens and foreground is out of focus.
I wanted to attempt to answer a couple of questions:
1. Does the cinemode use a blur filter or is that the raw image?
2. How does cinemode effect W/B?
3. Can I make cinemode look same again with PP as default mode?
The flower in the back is orange, the flower in front is close to hot pink (both are very close and a slight edge to the cinemode).
Note both are 60i framerates (and converted to 30p for vimeo).
NOTE: I did earlier an indoor cinemode comparison and I found that with progressive mode you get considerable better picture quality than default 60i. Here are framegrabs:

If you plan to do extensive processing on cinemode clips to get a similar contrasty picture back as in auto mode, then I think it's easier to choose the neutral mode instead.
The big advantage of cinemode remains the expanded range of shadow/highlight detail but it's still a personal decision since it also creates a very dull picture without PP. You mileage/preference will vary...
