This was my Senior Thesis film for my BFA at Rochester Institute of Technology.

This film was based on my belief that I died on January 08, 2002. I wondered if I was a ghost, what would I spend my time haunting? I filmed environments that I believed fit that description.

I don't believe that I died any more. Enough time has passed that I'm pretty sure I'm still alive.

I've been meaning to upload all my old stuff, but I keep neglecting to do it.

I really enjoyed watching the punch clock fade into ice, as well as the way you put together sounds and images of your haunting spots. Very honest, eerily pleasant feel to it.

The titles of the vignettes were great, too.

Thanks for letting us into the vaults.

    I love the chair opening.
The rest is very beautiful, but that struck me with real pathos and humor at the same time.

sure you are not dead? time is an illusion, so maybe it just *feels* like enough time has passed.
    or maybe not.

The opening shot with the chair is stunning. Almost part of a different story. Very absorbing for a dead bloke.

I'm just giving you this like because the word "staff" is next to your account name. Do you really work at vimeo?
  • dalas verdugo staff 2 years ago
No, I don't work at Vimeo, but I know the "cheat code" for getting a staff badge; you just have to share 100 videos with SteveR.

No, I shot it with an incredibly bad consumer miniDV camera. Two shots were done with a more expensive JVC camera.

That was really beautiful. the opening segment was a brilliant idea. I like it when the tray flicks his tie as it falls ( quite accidental i presume).

Its nice to slow down sometimes, i think it helps the mind. at university recently i just sat in the main lobby for over an hour watching who came and went. gave me some ideas for characters more than anything.

    take care

I remember seeing this at screenings my freshman year at RIT. Awesome short... I totally looked up to you and Jakob. This film kick-started my undergrad experience which was awesome. Cheers!
