Rob, Do you have a motorized pan head for those time lapse pan shots in this film short? Very nice footage!

Thanks Scott. No, that's a trick called shoot 1080, finish 720. When you drop a 1920 x 1080 shot into a 1280 x 720 sequence, you can pan and zoom around quite a bit. I do a similar thing with my interview footage--check out the Woodfin / EMC Recruiting Video. Lock off shot (I ask the questions too), then do a slow zoom in or out at just the right moment, which is hard to do in camera. This is for me one of the best things about the EX1 (soon, EX3 too) as opposed to the HVX200. While the HVX shoots 1080, it takes 1 minute per gig. The EX gets almost 3.5.

You can also use this trick to "extend" the lens, cropping into a long 1080 shot.
