GREAT VIDEO makes me HUNGRY! I saw your canon hv30 all bulked up on fliker! I want mine to look exactly like yours! So Raynox is selling for $125 and its suppose to be the 43mm thread back and 72mm in the front or 55mm, the hood cost $69 on ebay, step up ring 43-55mm is like less then $10 right, it doesn't have to be olympus right?

The step up ring is for the rear of the lens so that it can mount onto the HV30. I think most people get the 43mm to 52mm step up, but i got the 55mm raynox since the 52 was sold out at the time.

I got the first raynox from the link you posted, i think some people avoid the 43mm for some reason can't remember exactly. any step up ring should be fine.

as for the lens hood i called Canon directly and got it for $19.00

So the setup in order: 1. Canon HV30 2. Step Ring 43mm-55mm 3. Raynox 6600 55mm Wide Angle Lens 4. 55mm UV Filter (Add On) then 5. Lens Hood. Corect? Is the Lens Hood back thread 55mm? IM STOKED!!!! I was thinking about buying the XHA1 hood. Hv20.com said it was $17 bucks or something from Canon.

yea you'll need the step up ring so that the raynox will screw onto the hv30. call canon directly and get the hood, for $17 you can't beat that. the hv30 looks like a little beast when it's mod'd up like that.
