This is a film commission for Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company in the UK shobanajeyasingh.co.uk/

Developed for the stage as part of a Dance Umbrella commission in 2002, and featured two performers and a site specific set design. The film was all shot in India in 2002.

The original score is by Donnacha Dennehy donnachadennehy.com/ and was composed for electronics/tape and two sopranos - which do not feature on this particular short clip.

Hinterland was remixed live at Blackheath Halls London, as part of a concert called Voicelands.
