My first foray with my new HG10 - pal version. Conveniently it happened to be marathon day on the Isle of Dogs in London where I live. Shot in 24p and Cinemode and edited in Final Cut Express 4 (also a new purchase) although I now realise that FCE4 only supports 25 frame pal or 30 frame NTSC, hmm. Next stop with my HG10, the Tarn Gorge, my friends and girlfriend can't wait. No, really.

Great video. Beautiful color. How did you import your footage into FCE4?

Thanks, Danny. I just connected my HG10 to my mac with it's usb cable and set the camera to play, then in fce4 you go: file - log and transfer - and you can choose the footage you want to upload - just like a digital stills camera. Simple as that.

Very nice, you had a god sensibility in your edition.
I also edited with final cut express 4, and use a Canon HG10, but my FCE4 supports 24 frame NTSC.
