This was a distance test to see how far I could push the standard equipment. The JR9XII (9303) gave control up to about 4.3km and then the computer decided enough was enough and turned the plane around and flew it home. The video TX was a Lawmate 500mW with a 3dBi whip, while the receiver was a Lawmate with a 13dB LNA and a 3dBi whip. I left in some of the video dropouts to give you an idea of how things would look like (good thing I had the autopilot). On my alternate receiver with 8dBi-patch - the picture was perfect and noiseless all the way without any dropouts.
