5: Walking down the stairs at the West Oakland BART station

10: Incoming BART at Powell

SF has so much personality, love it! When in SF, I noticed that the BART travelers stand in line on the platform to board, but in LA, it's a free for all, kind of like general seating at a concert.

heh i've only been on the LA subway once (just to try it out). i don't remember if it had markings on the platform to indicate where the doors opened or not, but i think in SF, especially in the downtown stations, people have just learned the hard way that standing in line works better for everyone. :P
