Nice to see you on Vimeo, Mark. Your videos will look nicer here than at other places, and they aren't gonna pull your stuff down.

Glad to see this interview, I've been looking forward to it.

Thanks. I wish I could have fit all 8 segments in here but I used up my 500 megs.

    Mark,

Glad to see you posting your videos. You should try either Stage6, Veoh, or Microsoft Soapbox sites as they don't have any limitations none whatsoever, not to mention that the quality is A LOT decent than YouTube.

Anyways, glad to see you still alive online and kicking ass!
  • Mark Bunker 3 months ago
I'll check those sites out. I already have a Veoh account but they have limitations on embedding elsewhere apparently.
  • Don 3 months ago
Mark, these limitations are stupid, I will gladly host you for a video site, and give links for easy reposting to youtube. Stay tuned please :)
  •
  • Superrodan 3 months ago
Man, that's a bummer. If you'd like, I still have 500 megs this week, I could host them for you until the end of the week and then you could take them back.
  • Mark Bunker 3 months ago
Super, if you could download the other three divx videos from blip.tv and upload them here that would be a great help.

    Thanks
  • Superrodan 3 months ago
Vimeo has removed the videos from my account since I had no part in creating them. This means you will need to update your blog back to the other site until this weekend when you can upload the videos yourself. Sorry for the inconvenience, I guess I won't be able to help after all.

Jason and Mark, Thank you for for bringing this story to everyone. The eyes of the world are on Scientology, now more than ever.

Mark, concerning copyright, would it be ok if these videos were also uploaded on Youtube and other video sites as well?
  • Mark Bunker 3 months ago
Yes, the videos can be spread far and wide. Thanks.
  • Wendy Tolbert 3 months ago
Just until youtube take them down again.

Finally! How brave of Jason to speak out against Scientology! His words will save lives (and money!). Thank you, Mark Bunker, for bringing this story to the world!

Fantastic interview, Mark. I applaud Jason, yourself and everybody else involved. Whilst watching this I started to think that this whole interview is similar in some ways to interviews that are shown on the More4 (http://www.channel4.com/more4/) channel here in the UK, so you never know, this may be of some interest to them. Anyway, this was well worth the wait! Nice work!

Great start! Ok, so Jason had a big win on OT TR 0.
The thing to remember is L Ron Blubbard did not "discover" this. For thousands of years Zen paractitioners have taught "stop thinking" and "you are not the thought, you are the thinker of the thought" similar to jason's realization that he was the "driver of the car"

It is 3am and I've just watched the last of the 8. Jason you have given us a gift of great worth. Probably greater worth than any of us can yet imagine. This is not a series of anecdotes, not merely a narrative, although it is those things too. You have reflected and continue to reflect deeply about your experience in Scientology; you have allowed us to listen in on your thoughts and your reflections, to witness some of your strong feelings; you have allowed us to know you, in a way. This intimacy is a rare and extraordinary gift.

There's an old-fashioned word that sprung to my mind at one point as you spoke: redemption. I guess my belief, my hope, certainly my prayer, is that all the years of loss will become instead years of investment in who you are; and that the fruit of that investment will be so significant, in your own life, that of your family, and the lives of others that one day you will sense that those lost years, lost relationships, lost moments, will have been redeemed. I hope that makes sense. Thank you, Jason.

And Wise Beard Man - you'll do. ;)

Insanely newsworthy and important information they are seeking to hide from us.

They mess with Jason, they mess with WBM, they mess with all of us.

Great interview. Compelling in many ways.

Have they got to Vimeo too? I have nothing showing up, just comments, will I ever get to watch the interview? Anyone got any suggestions?
  • Wendy Tolbert 3 months ago
    I don't have any audio, I think that's a possibility.
Then I went to my laptop and watched 2 1/2 parts, then I lost internet on the wireless. I come back to the desktop and the audio keeps cutting out. I checked other videos with this site and the audio is fine. Wonder if anyone else is having my problems.

It's working well now, must have just been too busy yesterday. I'm looking forward to hearing what Jason has to say.

I'm very pleased with how this service is doing at getting the video streamed to large numbers of people. The quality is incredible and the everyone seems to be happy.

This looks like my new home. It's just a damn shame it's going to take forever to transfer all my stuff here at 500 megs a week.

The only thing in L Ron Hubbard's life that wasn't a lie was when said in 1952 that one way to make a lot of money is to start a religion. We are to be aware of false prophets, and he was only a third rate science fiction writer who's "religion" has hurt many. Thank you Mr. Beghe. Thank you for your bravery, and God bless you and your family. Write a book; make a movie; I'll buy a ticket.

Mark, I've been a fan of your videos for years, and I think you are doing the world a lot of good. I look forward to more from you in years to come!

I have a suggestion if you ever plan to update these videos: Jason sprinkles his monologue with Scientology lingo, which is lost on or misunderstood by many people. It would be super helpful to have a brief caption appear at the bottom of the screen to identify the term and the meaning. This would be super helpful!

  • Glad to see you back - I found this link from GoogleNews and a daily search for Cults, $cientology, Deprogramming, Pod-People, etc - When Tom Cruise finally sees this he just may say, "I don't get it!" - ;-)
  • Paul McClintock 3 months ago
Tom Cruise is never going to see it. The computer chip in his brain would short circuit instantly if it detected any rational thought within a 50 metre radius.

Wow, Jason. I'm so sorry it took you 13 years and a million bucks to find out that religion is really nothing but a crutch for people who can't deal with the fear they feel when facing the chaos of this world and the inevitability of death. I too have been alienated from friends and family because of my refusal to become "sheep" like they are. It bothers me sometimes, but I just can't accept the idea of God, gods, thetans or whatever. People I meet can believe what they like, I'll never give them grief over it but don't talk to me about it or try to force it on me. Not. Gonna. Happen!

I've never met anyone who correctly answered this little riddle I made up:

I see you when you're sleeping.
    I know when you're awake.
I know if you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness' sake!

    Who am I?

    GOD.

You thought I was gonna say Santa Claus, didn't you?

i thought this was interesting, too, and i only watched the first video -- but i too got lost on some of the scientology crap -- like his "major, major win" he talked about as his first scientology excercise. i don't get how what he did in three minutes was so powerful, or what the object of the excercise was....

I joined vimeo so I could quote an earlier post that should be read by all. Some of you may have missed it. It is so eloquent and completely conveys my own sentiments regarding Mr. Beghe and his courage. And I quote: “Jason. Your words are F**k. Your balls are steel.” End quote.

I regret I cannot remember the poster’s name, but he is out there somewhere. You may even be lucky enough to know him.

I wish Mr. Beghe the best and look forward to seeing him in whatever his next project might be.

I uploaded it to Youtube yesterday morning, it got over 1,000 views, then got rejected this morning after a bunch of flags for "hate speech". :\

    Hello, Mark

I wish I had the chance to subscribe to xenutv1, but I never got around to it.

I'm going to upload you videos to Google Video, there's a full length one already there, but I thought separate entries would be better for other people.

Anyway, to my question: what category should I upload it as? Documentary? I don't think special interest really fits.

Wow--nice job WBM and way to circumnavigate the ninnies @ YT. A very thought-provoking interview and a courageous "leap of faith" from Mr. Beghe. I too hope he reaps the harvest of reaching out like this. A very compelling story from a guy with integrity. What I wouldn't give to see a debate between he and the midget-minded Miscavige!!!

this has to be one of the most compelling interviews I have seen is a really really long time. I pray that more celebrities come out of the coma that they have been put in and speak out.... as well as all others. Fantastic Service you do Mark.

Mark, please give Jason our best.

Having now seen all eight parts, i have to say that i am shocks at the scale to which Scientology has succeeded in altering the use of language amongst its member.

Much like NewSpeak, in '1984', language can be changed to make it impossible to critise the cult itself, the other use for this is to create a group cohession and tribalism. The people on the outside don't talk like us, so they must be bad.

I very much get the feeling that the use here, is to enphersis the dangers of those outside the Co$ rather than restrict ability to critice, though i wouldn't put that past the Co$.
  • Mark Bunker 3 months ago
Loaded Language is one thing that separates cults from religions. Scientology happens to fit virtually all the criteria.

Mark: Can you clarify something for me please.

Jason was a high level OT. From the Interview he got 'the pack' at OT3.

However, In 'scientology & me', they wheeled out a number of celebs who where alledgedly OT's. When asked about every ones faverate interstella tyrant many seemed genuinely shocke, in a 'this guys nuts who'd beleive something that crazy' kind of way.

It the Co$ compartmentalising knowledge amongs members in the public eye now? Or was this that mysterious OT power we have been warned of, known only as 'Acting'.
  • Mark Bunker 3 months ago
They were shocked that someone dared ask them about it.
  • [citationNeeded] 3 months ago
Actually thats an angle i had not considered on that.

I cant beleive that, given so much time to prepare, they would not expect it as a question that would come up.
I am actually some what suprise they tried to presurise the BBC.

Given aunties history, structure and reputation, did they really think they could intimidate it? That Panorama would shy away from such questions?

Or was it based on the fear they have of the very word, Xenu. Do they just think that people really cant use it without becoming ill unless they are OT's?
  • MightyTiny 3 months ago
Well, I'd say that as professional actors and entertainers, those celebs could probably feign "genuine" surprise better than your average person off the street. :)
