Mr. Beghe, thank you for doing such an important and courageous act by being interviewed and telling the truth like this. I laughed and then I got tears in my eyes when you spoke of having one of those moments of loss, where you realize you'd been conned. I was supposedly a Clear, too, and remember realizing that there are no Clears and OT's and that I was conned, too.

You are not alone in feeling these moments of loss, as it's a very normal and common reaction even years after leaving because Scientology thought control propaganda is so imbedded in our thought processes, that the process of getting rid of it is like peeling the layers off of an onion.

With gratitude and best wishes to you and your family.

    Mary
ps: ((Huggs)) to Tory, Mark and Andreas

I just joined Vimeo also and I am not even a video watcher but because of Jason's video being ousted from youtube. I got out of this cult before they convinced me to move into a commune-like living quarters in Dallas, and before they got any money that I didnt have. I came upon the church from a part-time job ad (of course not related to what lied within those walls) - so Cos hides behind many masks.

Part 2 was beautiful. There were moments where Jason was going through a healing process just by talking about what happened to him. In my 4 years in Scientology, I too believed we were helping, I was a "clear" and I also was a "case supervisor" supervising other auditors making people "clear"
Jason, DO NOT feel bad - the silver lining in all this is that you are one of the people who always knew there was a "great power" in being alive and you wanted it for yourself and others. You now realize this is Scientology's "theta trap" they hook the good who want to help others - and this too is why Scientology is so despicable - because in reality, it is only in order to take your money from you, just like the VCR guy.

unless scicult keeps coming up with more levels it is dead in the water. people strive for something more (within the cult) and when the last level is attained there is the ultimate sense of being used.

Methinks Vimeo will have thousands of new members today, thanks to YouTube's pro-church of scientology corruption and censorship. Inexorable decline?

Anyways, this is all breakthrough material. Can't believe the futile efforts to hide it. Can't silence the truth forever CoS and YouTube....

You are so brave for speaking up about your experiences. So many others were also conned by CoS and this will help them come forward and maybe convince more to leave. This is wonderful!!!!!! Can we buy stock in Vimeo... juuuuust kidding..hahaaha ;)

I think I'll just click that add for the Matrix, just to ensure that a site willing to post Mark's videos is making money.

Theta trap. It's similar to the debt and health insurance trap that keeps you in a job you don't like.

    Jason and Mark,

Thank you so much! I recently left my scientology husband. There were massive changes in him once he began moving up the bridge in which he was becoming a different version of himself. It was extremely sad to watch, and of course each and every problem in his life I was the PTS responsible. Now that I've left I'm also the SP. Funny, he drove me away, and once he'd driven me away to the point I could take no more, its my fault he drove me away. He didn't think for himself anymore, and when I brought up anything that might make a person question, like court cases, or ex-scientologists speaking out, he would say they had overts against the church of scientology and were treasonous against scientology and if they would make a menz for what they had done they wouldn't find a need to speak out. I worry about his future. What happens when he runs out of money? What happens when he has lost everything, given away everything that mattered all for a con? I'm deeply concerned about that but decided it was no longer possible to continue under present conditions. Anyway, thank you Jason for explaining so much to the world and to me. You have brought me to a place of peace about my decision, and I also wish you the peace and comfort that comes with a life in which a person speaks out against evil, and gains the comfort of knowing they have not allowed scams, smokescreens, and cons to rule the lives of others. Thank you for your courage and your willingness to help others. You certainly have helped me today. I am very thankful.

I feel sorry for those people that honestly devoted their life as crew members working for Scientology. Those are the people that were really trapped. After years and years working for Scientology most may find they are now unable to find a job elsewhere for lack of professional experience. I also feel sorry for those believers that still think they can save themselves or the world with Scientology. Jason did a good job by reveling. I was lucky to get out of Scientology. I did mostly because lack of money. Scientology cost me almost 100 grands which depleted my savings from years and years of hard work. I left Scientology in a very bad emotional state having lost all my money and time. For years I asked for my money back which they deny of course. Since I left I have been struggling to put my life back where it was.

I too was conned. I attested to Clear after a DCSI in 1979. They said I wasn't. I got pissed. Then they said I was. A year or two later, I decided I wasn't, so they said okay. A year or two later, they said I was (again). I never achieved the definition of Clear. Then I bogged on OT Preps. Two intensives turned into fifteen. No one could fix me. I quit after 12 years. All I had to show was a lost marriage, heavy debt and bad health.

You can read my story at xenu.net/archive/personal_story/cheryl_s/. My story has been hosted there since 1999. Jason is telling the truth about his experiences in Scientology.

Peace Jason. You have done the right thing. Think of the damage you are preventing or undoing from Tom Cruise having "reached" over one billion people. VWD!

On your perception of loss, I went through the same thing. I felt like the spiritual rug had been pulled out from under me. It was a horrible feeling of emptiness. And what made it worse was that it was emptiness of my own doing. Scientology's manipulation is so good that members will defend to their dying breath the system that has enslaved them. And that was the realization. I paid for my own enslavement. And so did you. And everyone else involved in Co$.

Many thanks to Mark, Andreas and Tory and everyone else who has spoken out against the evil empire ... without whose courage and sacrifices many more people would be suffering.

And for those of you who may have difficulty understanding the words used, see xenu.net for help. And if you have never been in a cult and want to see what it's like, then check out my book at religinon.com.

Jason, props to a very fine actor, but even more props for making this interview. (Of course, BIG thanks to Mark Bunker and his crew.) Jason, I have respected you as an actor for many years, but this interview is an act of a very confident man, and one who is strong enough to admit to making a mistake that we all make in one form or another. You took a bold step toward learning more about who you were, albeit through an exercise involving scientology, which in itself isn't a bad thing, I'm sure that some of the things they teach are beneficial. Unfortunately, any good that can be said of scientology is wrapped tightly around deception and possibly fraud. I'm not a person who has the time to write to blogs, and I rarely have the time to keep up with television, but having seen the real you in this interview, I can say that I respect you as an actor, but even more as a person. One who faces the same challenges as the rest of us, work, family finding our place in the universe, but doing so with such determination and grace is worthy of acknowledgment. I look forward to seeing any new project you are involved in. Dave from Chandler, AZ

Many thanks to Jason, Mark and crew for the brave interviews.

I was taking Scientology courses for 6 months in the 1984-1985 time frame. I had sought self-improvement and had just suffered the break-up from a girlfriend I loved very much. I took several courses, including the Purification Rundown, but never considered myself a Scientologist. I only scratched the surface of the courses and left only wasting $7,500, money which I had to borrow.

In brief, here are some of my observations:

    1. Getting your money is the key target - no matter what. You, the person, are a secondary consideration.

    2. If you cannot recruit your family or friends into Scientology, then they are Suppressive Persons and you must disconnect from them.

    3. Each local org can only recognize revenue from members' money on account if the member passes a course. I noticed a high number of course "completions" on Thursday nights later to discover that on Friday the local orgs had to report their "earnings". I think many members "magically" completed courses just so the revenue could be recognized on time for a positive report.

    4. I knew an OT3 who had a serious cold for several days.

    5. We were told to lie if anyone asked us if we were from Scientology while using the local spa's sauna for the Purification Rundown.

    6. Purification Rundown - what a crock! I sat in a sauna for 30 days, 3+ hours a day taking vitamins (calcium, magnesium, niacin). This is another big money maker as almost everyone HAS to do the Purif. to supposedly rid them selves of re-experiencing drugs supposedly locked into their fat cells. How much fat is burned in the sauna? I saw people who had only taken aspirin doing the Purif. One young boy was in there because he had one Novocaine injection for a dental procedure. Yet, they were required to take the Purif which was about $1,500 at the time.

    7. Scientology has many claims which you are to accept without question. And boy, there are many! Two claims I heard directly at meetings (to thunderous applause) I recall are:

    - Mexico would be the first "clear" country. What? How could people in this poor country even begin to afford the cost of the classes. So, 20 years later, how "clear" is Mexico?

    - Some Scientologist was credited with the 15% reduction of crime in the area. No prediction of this, nor evidence to show that an actual reduction had occurred or could be attributed to the named individual.

I am appreciative of the courage Jason and Mark show for exposing Scientology for what it is - a bogus business enterprise masquerading as a church. I left when it became obvious they were more interested in my money than in me.
  •
  • Think Pyramid (Ponzi) Scheme as Jason says that Bodi is excited about getting his kickback - What 'religion' pays kickbacks to the con-artists that bring 'fresh meat' into the shop?
    .
Poor Jason has no clue what has happened to him - He does know he has been tricked, lied to, bamboozled, and systematically had his disbelief dismantled until at long last he snaps out of it and sees the ruse! Way to go Jason - now to help you demystify the metaphysical mumbo jumbo that remains so you can think critically and see the world with your rose colored glasses removed.

Jason . . . Glad to have you on this side of the road now.

I absolutely loved this! It took a man who really went for it, spent precious time and bags of money on it, totally out of sincerity to become a better person and then so blatantly expose it. He's so damn sincere and honest and human about it. All that I would ask him to do is take the best and leave the rest. This is so invalidating of cos. He is doing GREAT WORK. This just might be his greatest work yet. I hope he realizes that he was conned so that he could uncover!

Also from me, my thank you. I will try to be brief. My brother is in a wheelchair because when he came out, he couldn't believe what he did to his family and he tried to kill himself. What few people in the US don't know is that Scientology was declared illegal by the German Congress. In the 70s I was invited to a session, and a big table was pushed in front of me. I had to push back hard (table into three big guys stomachs) to get outta there. What they do is to interview you (your first free session) and try to find out what your buttons are. Once they know them, they try to get money from you, and susceptible people fall for this (usually very smart people who are interested in bettering themselves). The rest of the "program" consists simply of finding more buttons and getting more money from you, until you get to be clear (hard to achieve...). Since it is too easy for family and friends to find that Scientology is totally ridiculous, Scientology will instruct you not to discuss this with anyone. I have seen many families ending up in divorce because of this (something actually encouraged by Scientology). One good example of this is Tom Cruise and Nocole Kidman (kudos to her for resisting). Congrats, Beghe, you are a survivor. However, scientology has put such huge roots into you that it will take you a long time to stop having flashbacks. You are shell shocked, and I suggest you study what soldiers do to come out of this. I also suggest you seek out any old frends who you previously trusted and who tried to get you to quit. Seek their help, because you will need it. You certainly have my tremendous gratitude. This bunch of psycho criminals has to be further revealed and their plans for "world domination" stopped.

Good job Jason for waking people up to the game of not only COS but a lot of other faith based cults. They prey on people at their weakest points in life or on their desires to succeed and then brainwash you into their philosophy. We are what we are taught and what we come to believe as truth. Its that simple. Once someone believes something as truth its hard to change that persons deeply held beliefs. We are all such human sheep that we sometimes follow the wolves blindly without question. Actually believing we are doing good for ourselves or others. Glad you woke up, I hope this will help others to do the same.
