cool Mark. Very different to your other stuff. The version on exposure room is really noisy in the blacks. Here it looks a tad under? Did you storyboard?

Phil, All Fixed now on the blacks at Exposure Room... Shiv and the team have done a fantastic job of putting this right.

Thanks Phil, I need to reload exposure room with a different version I am having problems with their compression. I did storyboard the whole shoot completed in under 3 hours! It really does help to prepare in advance. I am playing with the blacks and pushing the limit intentionally on the output to get that moody feel.

Very nice and "moody", I like how you slowly reveal more and more of the actor with that moon-shade color of light. Well done! By the way, what is this Exposure Room site? Do you like it better than Vimeo?

Mark, this is a beautiful piece....lovely study of the actor, hypnotic camera motion and excellent interpretation of the dynamics of the melodies also.

    Thanks for sharing.

Nicely shot. It's cool that you didn't try to edit in the fast tempo of the music.

The dolly walk over the shoulder with the Canterbury Latin script on the wall is my favorite camera move in your piece.

Provocative and well executed imagery throughout. Well done, sir.

Very atmospheric and moody - well transmitted and mysterious. Splendid work - congrats to the actor too.

Horace on the wall at 3:29 is clearly the same as this: flickr.com/photos/tourainesereine/2386653735/
but I cannot find out whether it is a tapestry, a parchment, a print or what.... Curiosity killed the cat...
But if you can say, I'd be interested.

This is gorgeous. It's pure gold to have an actor like your leading man in this short, and you captured his emotions with great power and vision. The focus on simple emotions and sentimental objects brings a beautiful feel to the film.
