The video was great, the idea is great, the concept is great. Fantastic!!!! :)
win.
1. Bring your own bags. Don't use the plastic ones at the store.
2. Buy recycled goods or items with containers that have the potential to be recycled after being used. Plastics with a number "1" or "2" on the bottom is a good guide.
3. DO NOT BUY ANY BOTTLED WATER. Even though the bottle can be recycled, the amount of money that goes into the production of this item is wasteful and the method is harmful to the environment.
I commend this movement for coming up with a positive way to reward businesses for switching to a more eco-friendly business ethic.
Spread the word and let's make a change!
I posted your vid on my green design blog and have received some great e.mails about it already:

I would actually like to start a Carrotmob - Chicago chapter on Facebook so we can get in on it too. I thought I'd ask first, though.

UPDATE: carrotmob knows about good options for toothbrushes but was making a point. I can't help but recommend things no matter what. it's just what I do.
But 23 liquor stores in one neighborhood? Seemed more like a convenience store to me.
craig
And not just the US. The UK, Europe, Asia... it can happen anywhere.
{also great video}
I think I'm going to set something like this up in The Netherlands. I love the idea!!
Consumers FTW!!
Environment FTW!!
I would love to innitiate something like this in my country!
Like the video says, it is the power of the people/ dollar that moves government/ corporations; not the other way around.
What a great idea!!
Much props for a great idea. Huge success.
I would love to try this idea here in Switzerland, since the Swiss are so such a environment awareness.
