A company of the British Army went marching through Lexington at the dawn hours of April 19, 1775. They were met by a group of Lexington Militiamen who were assembled in the town common. Into this tense atmosphere a shot was fired. Fighting errupted and the American Revolutionary War commenced.

kind of surreal with the redcoats walking down the paved roads with neon street signs.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Three of us went to this event. At pre-dawn the place was already packed. We had one DIY monopod made of a torchier lamp post, but even that was no competition with people perching on ladders. If you notice closely at the above frame grab, top center at 12 o'clock, that is one of or hv20s on top of the 7' monopod.

As one of the participants on Lexington Green (one of the British Staff Officers), I commend you for a really great video! The music was appropriately suspenseful, (though we in the King's Army prefer the Imperial March from Star Wars by John Williams!). The final quote from Capt. Parker's deposition was a nice touch. It's too bad you did not include any of the reports from the King's Officers, as they too implied that their actions on that day were in self defense. No one intended start a war that day, but one did start none the less.

    Bravo!

Thanks for the kind words, David. I was hitting the 500MB upload limit and had to cut the clip short, reduce quality etc.. However, we are working on the Northbridge conflict, so any suggestion for music and quotes would be welcome. Can you get sync rights from JW for the Imperial March? If so that would be awesome.

Love the redcoats, they look so distinquished with their uniforms. Then again they are British.
