Nice, are you using the Milapse panning system? I bought one but I haven't used it yet.

Nope, just a normal telescope mount.

That was really awesome when you were tracking the stars and panning down to the swimming pool. Great stuff on this reel.

What kind of mount? I have recently acquired one of the new and inexpensive iOptron alt-az mounts (http://www.ioptron.com). Though it pans as ordered, I find there is some small stuttering in the motion when the footage is played back. I can't tell if it is variations in the motor (PE?), the intervalometer, delays in the dSLR itself, or even the computer doing the playback. Too many variables. Argh!

Nice piece of panning work. I've just acquired a motorized telescope mount from ebay and with a little extra work and the aid of a bulldog clip I should be up in action in no time ;-)

Great footage and I love the star tracking - you must have used the mounts programmable features for that one?

My mount consists of on, off, forward reverse and a variable resistor for speed control.
