though he is fearful at first, yuki's young son musters all of his courage and sets out across the vast lumber plains to find his mother.

translation:
The ribs of the umbrella
Have fallen apart;
The paper is also torn,
But with bamboo
Tied together.
Do not throw it away.
Though I
Also am torn,
Don't desert me.

That is one fast cat. I hope he found his mommy.

Yeah, he was really booking it across that deck.

As for his mom: you'll have to stay tuned for that one...

I liked this one A LOT! Very cute, very dynamic. You used quite a high shutter speed when capturing it, what was it?
  • Taylor Gillespie 11 days ago
If you liked it so much, then where's your "like"? ;)

I honestly don't know the shutter speed. Manual features are basically non-existent on my camera.

    Quick note:

I'm not sure why little gray boxes are flickering up at the beginning, anyone else seeing those?

That's called artifacting. It happens when your connection is either not so good or the video was recorded improperly.

I actually don't see them, so I dunno what is up with you.

AND SHUT UP. I'LL "LIKE" IT WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT!

    hehehehe.

yeah, maybe my connection's a lil on the slow side today.

Perfect. You give these things a life of their own, Taylor.

Okay, my favorite parts-when Yuki is half in view but you can see his pokey things sticking up--then he inverts under the step-way cool shot there. Also, when the percussion kicks in (great track selection, too) with the timing of his scadaddling across the deck. Enjoyed it and you know how hard sequels are to pull off--great one.

Glad you like it! Perfect use of skedaddle to, I may have to add that as a tag.

Quality of the movie is once again magnifiscent! The V1253 has a depth of field I like I have never seen before in any camera under $1500. I investigated the sensor size of this camera, it's a near full 2/3 inch sensor! All the other consumer and prosumer camera's use an 1/3 inch sensor AT MOST! DOF is really important to get that cinematic look. The large sensor size also gives great dynamic range of the colors. It's a pity this camera has no manual settings and the progressive X264 codec is a little sparse (13Mbps), although still much better than the Sanyo's (9 Mbps) and the interlaced AVCHD format.
