I'm curious - had you been watching the podcast before you'd seen the film?

I didn't connect either. I did see it, the other night, listed to air on IFC which was kind of cool. Oh, I see the dvd is distributed by IFC.

Yeah Mike. The podcasts got me hooked.

I actually quite liked the film, but it didn't resonate with me like it has for others. Either way, I really admire what Aaron and Susan have created here... something very personal and unique. That's daring to me.

I'm with you. I thought that it was an interesting idea for going about doing the film, but I just didn't connect with Arin & Susan. The seem like nice enough people, but it just a little too depressing for me. I didn't watch the podcasts, but just jumped right in and watched it when it was on YouTube, or right before it went onto YouTube. Maybe I will need to watch it again, but I don't know if I could handle it.

I didn't find it depressing so much as I watched it and thought, "meh". I think part of it was that I'm familiar with a lot of the locations where they shot so I was taken out of the experience of the film by my own sense of familiarity and I just didn't dig the story. I really liked the talking MySpace profile boxes. That was unique.

@Texas: Well :) it's not for everyone.

@Ben: Ya gotta check out the podcast :) you know how in some movies the story starts at the end, and goes back to explain everything - well the podcast pick up where the film ends, everything ties together much better if you've seen both.
