See all Show me
Last festival summer Dave and me lay in the grass, over us the blue sky and our soundclouds in mind.
Then we asked ourselves what if DAS BLUUL would´ve played in front of a peace-lovin´, flower-sniffin, LSD-soaked crowd that gathered in a park in San Francisco in ´67?
So we thought it would be an interesting experience to show HOW it could have been. We gathered a lot of old-school hippies, actors, party-people, slackers and non-helping bystanders who just were at the wrong place at the wrong time, handed out a busload of costumes, wigs and drugs and began to do, what we do. The pictures you´ll see are made over the whole afternoon and has been accelerated to fit the vibe of vision. We played the whole set of Inferi Incarnati, Descent and some tracks of Reignbones of Chaos. The crowd was hilarous. In the end we put that flic to a new recording of us called: "Central Heating" for we think that one says it alltogether. From our new double CD "Horreum Horroris". AVAILABLE!

Now take a Trip and enjoy.

Hmmm, so you don´t like the theoryabout fakin´ that stuff? Ok, here´s the true story.
One day in November 2007 Dave and me were merely stuck in an open experiment as through the vibrations of our runnin amps an ice-cold Dr.Pepper popped it´s cap and fell on Daves foot effect temple..... ZAAAAAAAAP ... suddenly occured that we´ve been set back in a BE-IN right down ´67 in San Francisco.
Oh Jeez you should´ve seen that tripheads as we began to explore the sound factory of all that vintage amps. Surely we´ve droned them right to heaven.
Out of to simulate that timeflip another time we managed to get there again, but strange things happened. Dave slipped into a little kid and I found myself in robes and prayin chants....
Geez we won´t do THAT again by purpose. Promise.

The original footage was shot by Jerry Abrams in 1967 at the "Great Human Be-In" in San Francisco and the original soundtrack was done by Blue Cheer.

Be-In
Kurzfilm, USA 1967, 7 Min.
Regie: Jerry Abrams, Buch: Jerry Abrams, Musik: Blue Cheer

that opening intro was fantastic. the rest of the film footage was put together very well. thanks for posting, it was nice to jump back in time for a bit, even if under surreal circumstances.

Thanks, man, Hope you liked the story ;)
The whole credit goes up to Jerry Abrams who filmed and cutted that stuff in ´67. Must have been total madness without computer to do this fast cuts and overlaying. Madman on Acid.
I found that flic at a documentary about shortfilm-makers in the 60s. Great.
The original Sound was made by BLUE CHEER. I presume that you can find the shortfilms as a torrent.
When I was hunting for BLUUL-clips (listening to DAS BLUUL and watchin visual crafty stuff to see what matches) I was just lucky to find this one and see that it was just as long as our song "Central Heating". Put it the sound-channel and tada. there it is. I like best when the song breaks up at end there are interruptions like a bad damaged starting motor and the girls that are dancing seem to faint out every moment. bad trip.
