"Uprooting and removal surrounds us, and at times these can be mirrored in our working process. At times I just let go and am assimilated into my landscapes, other times I feel an active resistance. I think there’s something about growing up in America that makes you feel nothing is ever really stationary. Home can be motion at times.” – Doug Aitken

The objective of this work is to create an autobiographical portrait of a journey that is in constant motion. My home has transformed from the conventional human habitat which is a defined space and a container with physical objects into a non-physical home painted by experience and memories. I am going from location to dislocation, from self-motivated socio-cultural assimilations to active rejections of the same. It is intended to be a colorful autobiography in four languages, shaken and stirred into a nomads exploration of an every day adrenaline rush. The journey takes place on an interesting and inspiring route but where the exploration dissolves the relation to suggestions of what is known as a conventional home.
