remember when prank calls were innocent and fun? well, we put a new twist on the good 'ole prank phone call. ________________________________ a friend and i (who live in different states) decided to make a prank call to her office mate. apparently my friend's office mate can be very annoying, and refers to her as "the fug"... but that's another story for another time. we filmed the whole thing. hee hee all you need is 1. a friend 2. a phone 3. someone to prank 4. cameras 5. a goofy story remember, if you do this...keep your chair away from the camera lens (wink wink at panthy) ps. i think i should win an oscar for my acting skills, but i was told that i need to brush up a little on my southern accent. heh heh. oh and this story i made up was right off the top of my head. it makes no sense really.

my dad is an amazing cook. he makes everything from scratch. while visiting him in vegas, he taught me how to make italian sausage from scratch starting by grinding the meat, seasoning it, and putting it into the casings..it's the most amazing italian sausage i've ever had. his meatballs and gravy are to die for too. anyway... because we live so far away from one another, i thought i would try my hand at cooking some of the old italian recipes that have been passed down through generations. i'm not confident that i'm getting everything right, so i'll use vimeo to communicate with my dad and hopefully tweak the recipes by showing my dad these videos. this is my first attempt at escarole soup. it's a chicken broth based italian soup made with with tiny meatballs and lots of escarole. :-)

i had a marathon cooking day today. here's what i made. 1. home made meatballs and gravy 2. two giant pans of lasagna 3. a huge pot of the best baked beans ever! 4. two killer veggie quiche's 5. stuffed peppers 6. a stuffed meatloaf 7 turkey burgers tomorrow i'm making chicken cordon bleu and a crispy crunchy chicken dish, too. why am i making all of this? i'm leaving mark at home while i take off to vegas for two weeks. while i'm gone, i thought he would like to have some home made eats! so i did a marathon cooking day, then froze everythig. all he has to do is come home, pop the stuff in the microwave and BAM! home made meal. i'm such a good wifey.
