Born Shampel C Jackson in North Minneapolis Minnesota. Pain began to rap fashioning herself after her older brothers Devastating Dee; King Kel C; Battle Master TLC.Together known as the ?IRM Crew?. In a time when 10 thousand evils danced free & wild in the Sumner Olson housing project. The streets ran red with the blood of the innocent. The humble tears of a young nation agonizing over the aftermath of Vietnam offered no comfort to the torn souls of the son?s & daughters left behind. Drifting in uncertainty in this place we call North Side. There lives a dark evil. Haunting the hearts of the leftover children forcing us to either except our conditions or fight to the death to change them. To chose not to fight is to be the living dead. To chose to fight is to be the living target. Faced with this she did the only thing she could do. THE WEIGHT OF PAIN. A formal introduction to the darkest parts of free will. Tempered with elements of divine rightiousness just out of the grasp of her outstretched hand. One day in the last days of Black Market Records. Ced Singleton and Pain went to Live Wire studio. On the way in the door. Ced introduced Pain to G-Macc & Tre 8. Deciding that flags are thicker than money and principal weighed more than fame. Pain turned away from the studio door and got in the car with G-Macc & Tre 8. They went to Riff Raffs and did a song that night. G-Macc brought Pain to the Cway Camp. Pain's solo project " The Weight of Pain" is a CD/DVD combo deal. It's an intimate look into the life of this artist. Which unlike other documenterys gives the viewer a chance to live the magic moments along with her as they happen. Good and bad times are spreed evenly like frosting on a birthday cake in 71 minutes of film. Welcome to Cway Muziccore where men are born and legonds are made. C way is the new millennium power house record label. Making its mark on the rap industry. Some of the hardest hitting artists to emerge from the underground sectors of modern society belong to the C way camp. This group of artists have graced the pages of magazines such as the world famous XXL to the underground monthly must have Murder Dog magazine, and everything in-between. The reaction to this new brand of reality music gliding over forbidden beats is astounding. The slow fast slow heart stopping rhythmic patterns of some of the camp members continues to lure new listeners. It's no wonder sales have shot up like the stock market on a good day. The long overlooked underground market is alive and well. In every American basement and car stereo. The beats we crave from the original rip gut cannibal crew ?the Siccmade family? The verbs we crave from the hardest hitters in the west come to life in this organization which has truly become a whirlwind force to be reckoned with. The production is unparalleled. The C way camp is made of west coast mainstay's such as Siccmade Music, Blue Rumm Muzic, Loc to Da Brain, UCIT, Flowheakenz, PBK, Tre 8, Yun Gun, C-Lim, Bop, P-Dash, J-Nut Loco, Drew, J-Dogg R.I.P, Chill Will,The contributions of artists such as X-Raided, Luni Coleone, T- Nutty, Sav Sicc, Bleezo, Key Loc, Da 4oe,Skari, 2 N Da Chamber, Spade, Mrs. Marvaless, Tangeray, Zigg Zagg, Pain, Baby Gmacc, Ant Loc, Big Spank, and the list goes on. The article's, which appear about this extraordinary new conglomerate, command us to listen for the distinguished sound of C way. A step apart from other reality related content groups. The diversity which exists within the camp's talent base is staggering. C way artist's come from all over the map. The primary C way artists are from Sacramento CA, Oakland CA, Pittsburg CA, Denver CO, Minneapolis MN, Louisiana, and more. In a recent interview on Rap TV. Big No Love CEO of Cway Muziccore shared his vision for C way over the next 2 years. *I see the camp creating a new place in the industry. I don't believe that any other label is constructed in the same way our camp is constructed. Mr. No Love what is the C way fan base? *We don't have fans we have street soldiers. The people that listen to our music listen because they understand hunger. C way introduces a new kind of hunger. I mean our camp is not only hungry. WE'RE READY TO EAT! Our Street Soldiers are also ready to eat! Mr. No Love exactly what do you mean by ready to eat. I mean in a recent article by Erica Werner of the Associated Press. If gangs across the USA where an army from a foreign country, they would form the 6th largest army in the world. People tend like shit about real shit. So we spit the shit you might be living right now. Every day life is not the same thing that's reflected in you're everyday top 40's radio edit music. So we make the music that tells the whole story. Not just the pretty parts of what might sound good to a beat. Mr. No Love how would you classify C way rap. *It's life music. Sometimes ball'n is a big part of that. So it's reflected in the lyrics about living it up real big. Sometimes our fears blend with the drama of the day, and serve us up a big old dish of twisted hellish nightmare. That's also reflected in the music. Mr. No Love what kind of demand is there for dark rap? *The same demand as there is for anything else. Every day every other person in America is subjected to rap music. Weather they like it or not they get a good healthy dosage of rap on some level. On TV on the radio in barber shops in advertising and in mall's, restaurants, office's and especially on the city streets. To cut to the point our music is (MUSIC TO KEEP IT REAL TO). Our market is (PEOPLE WHO KEEP IT REAL FOR REAL). Now visualize for a moment the numbers of persons who comprise that 6th largest army in the world, rushing to a near by store to by a C way audio and or video product and examine what type of meal that becomes. C way's not all take. We create positions for our listeners within the camp. When you buy C way you're putting a down payment on freedom of speech. Investing in a life changing opportunity. Opening you're mind to new ideas. In other words get dressed for dinner C way's brining some Street Soldiers over to eat, and we're all HUNGRY! Fuck it we're coming to a block near you!
