So I thought I'd chat about the past few days...
Ive decided to do somethign new every day for my gap year, no matter how small. This will keep me from boredom, and it will also give me something to show for the year.
Saturday . I made a giant Jaffa cake. I dont normally make things, so this was new for me, plus I dont think I've ever made a giant version of something else before. Quite easy really: I got a flan, made an orange jelly, put the jelly on the flan and then covered it in chocolate! Giant Jaffa Cake :)

Sunday. I went to church. Don't worry, I'm not becoming religious. Kayleigh asked me if I wanna go and I thought 'hell, why not?'. Religion interests me as a concept. Not as something I wanna take into my life, just as a part of human life. I was sitting in a room full of people who have no doubt in their minds that there's a god, which was kinda weird. Chatted with some lovely people tho.
Monday. I went to Warwick by myself. Whilst this doesnt sound very interesting, it was nice for me. I only live 5 miles down the road, but I've only really ever driven through it. Went for a subway and walked to a restaurant called Catalan and handed in my CV. I told them I was on my gap year and the manager asked 'Aren't you going to travel?' I knew that if I said 'yes', they wouldn't employ me, but I didn't want to lie, so I replied 'erm no, well yes, but not really, but yeah'. Score. Wandering around a town that wasn't entirely familiar kinda gave me an insight into the next year.
Tuesday. I was shift runner at work. Been working there nearly 2 years now, and this is the first time that I felt like I had proper authority. I had to open the store by myself for the first time. This only consisted of a change in CCTV tapes and counting up the tills, but it was new nonetheless. Tinder, who I work with, got to work half an hour after me, and I took the opportunity to boss him about a bit. Hehe I wasn't too harsh, but I got stuff done. Today is Halo 3 preparation day so we had to get some stuff sorted for midnight launch tonight. Can't wait! I'll be home and playing it till about 4am I think tonight. Something else that happened today: A bloke reversed his van into the back of my car. Idiot. Damage isn't too bad, but his company are paying the £200 repairs to the bumper. He told me: 'I shouldnt be here, I should be at work. Please don't tell them!'
Anyways, I'll keep y'all posted (all 4 of you).
Have fun with whatever you do.
