I just uploaded episode 4 to the channel which reviews the William Optics FLT132mm APO that I own. This is an awesome refractor that I really like a lot. I've heard that others have had some issues with this telescope, some report that the focuser is the cause of most issues, but mine does not seem to suffer from any of the problems I've read about, go figure. I hear William Optics is bringing some larger APO's to market someday soon, a 158mm APO sounds very interesting and I may bite & order one. Still, I won't sell the FLT132, I like it that much. So I was reading a review in an astronomy related magazine when the idea came to me that I would much rather see a short & to the point video review rather than reading one. So, without much hesitation at all I began putting together a test video for this idea and after a full day of shooting & editing footage I had my first episode of the APO Report ready to upload to Vimeo. It is unrehearsed, there was no script, I just winged it as a test & then asked for comments on the Meade-DSI-Advanced Yahoo group. Everyone seemed to like this idea so I created this channel for this and future episodes. Hope everyone enjoys the videos and finds them useful.
