    I use a Mac and did it with "Framed". Get it here: likelysoft.com/framed/

    It's free, but not very good when it comes to the image quality. So it's not the best choice for HD movies. Bonus: You can set it for any framerate you wish to!

    I created a workflow in Apple Automator that took the screenshots for me:

    1) take screenshot
    2) rename Finder objects: add number to new name
    3) Pause (60 sec)
    4) execute workflow (save the whole thing and chose itself here again)

    You get a loop and all screenshots will be stored in a folder. You then just need a stop motion / animation software to create the movie. Tipp: iMovie isn't the best for this. Try to search for some free- or shareware.
