Memory Lane, Piss Alley, Yakitori Dori. Many names for this small grid of eat-and-drink holes at the north end of Shinjuku station. These have been here since after the war, when Shinjuku (New Hostel Area) was built. As many of such places, it was black/grey market and mob run.
