I made this photo animation video for the opening scene of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Landscape Architecture senior graduation video. I've never done anything like this before, but I've had this idea for a while. I finally gave it a try, and I think I got pretty lucky because it turned out really well.
I originally thought I could set my Nikon D80 to take pictures say every 2 seconds forever, but apparently it doesn't have that feature (or I can't find it). I ended up attaching my camera to my tripod, wedging it in place with headrests & a CD album, stabilizing it at the top under another headrest, and then kept it from moving side to side with an ace bandage. I had to use my remote control to snap the pictures while also paying attention to the road and shifting. There are 300+ images.
The route for this video can be found here:

I essentially drove my favorite route into Madison, WI via John Nolen Dr. (which includes views of the State Capitol building over Lake Monona), looped up around the Capitol building, took University Dr. through campus, and then ended at Agricultural Hall (where us Landscape Architecture students spend most of our lives).
The music is "Forbidden Tracks - The Flashbulb (Benn Jordan)" from Soundtrack To A Vacant Life

Second attempt.
Shot with an HVX200 at 2fps using the SD card hack. Shutter at 350 degrees.
The resulting video was layered with two other copies of itself, offset by one and two frames. Composite mode was Add. Top of the frame was matted to keep the sky from blowing out too much.
Resulting video was rendered and then sped up 300%.

005/365: 40 minute commute in 60 seconds
A minute for the 365minutes project. In this minute, I travel my 40 minute commute to work and stop for gas. It was kinda foggy this morning - looks dreamy.

By the way, a 40 minute commute represents more data than will fit on a 4GB SD card. I ran out of room about 1.5 miles from my office. Having to go to the stupid gas station cost me almost 5 minutes!
