The final day of the Elemental project (http://www.elementalproject.com) trip to Arizona to film the monsoon ended with a bang! After the first two days of the trip the Arizona Monsoon took a break, so we flew down to Florida and chased storms around the Tampa bay area. Then today we flew back to Arizona for the final day of our trip and were rewarded by some spectacular thunderstorms. The clips here are just a few quickly selected shots from the hours of footage shot today. I am particularly please with the timelapse lightning shot with an EX3 using the 32 frame shutter with 1 second intervals. Just wish you could see this material in it's full glory as it looks stunning!

This is a rough and ready compilation of clips from the first 2 days of our Extreme Heat trip to Arizona. We arrived in the middle of some Monsoon Thunderstorms with amazing lightning around the city of Tucson Arizona. later in the week we are expecting the temperature to reach 110 degrees out in the desert. Check back soon for more from this trip. Main camera is a Sony EX3 and so far working very well indeed.

This is the next stage of the Elemental project. Mark Humpage and myself spent a week in the USA chasing tornadoes. We went at the beginning of June and it was a very active period with storms almost every day. Normally in June the storm systems move slowly and are easy to chase, but this year it was different, more like May and the storms were racing across the countryside at 50 mph. This made it hard to keep up with the storms, let alone stop to film them and take pictures. Despite this on the 3rd day of the trip we intercepted a Supercell storm in Northern Iowa that produced a tornado close to the town of Carpenter. This video is a summary of that day and the following day when we drove from Iowa to Kansas for more storms. Over the 6 days that we were in the USA we drove 4,500 miles!

Part 2 of The Storm Chasers. This is the best half with all the action saved for the end. Giant Hail, big tornadoes, all the thrill of the chase.

This is a documentary I have been working on for over a year. Filmed mainly with an XDCAM F350. I drove over 9000 miles, flew a further 20,000 miles and shot 20 hours of material to get to this stage.
