    Nope, I studied Journalism and Film. Without a degree, you won't get much luck finding a job with the bigger companies. But, you may be able to get a lot of privates. It all depends.

    What school are you going to in China? Would you be looking to go to school in Japan also?

    No, I just needed to have a degree. That's usually all you need here to teach conversational English, but if you wanted to do an ALT position it may be different.

    Also, you may want to start applying before you come because the market here is really bad-- the biggest conversational school, Nova, just went bankrupt so there's a few thousand teachers looking for jobs right now.

    hey, I live and work in Nagoya. It's in between Tokyo and Osaka-- the 4th biggest city in Japan. It's a pretty sweet city so far. I plan t be here for about 10 more months. Keep in touch when you know where you'll be and when you're coming!
