2 months agoChris Hernandez commented on 1080i vs 1080pthis looks good, but as a novice, i want to know why most deinterlacing programs end up making the video look much more blurry. Any help on how to ensure the best deinterlace results? Maybe the DV collection i'm converting simply doesn't have enough resolution to "hide" the deinterlacing?

I'm always looking for ways to improve my skills in this wonderful hobby, but I know i need guidance and help and tutoring. Please bear with me and don't hesitate to give plenty of pointers!
The only camcorder I actually own at the moment is a Sony DCR-TRV480 DIGITAL-8 (DV) which I completely despise. I'm SOOOO feeling like a have-not right now! For the sake of this community, i'm mostly interested in learning post production, with a focus on retouching, enhancing, and archiving all types of motion picture.
Anybody know anything about lossless compression and archiving?
