I'm in FCP 5 and the HDV codecs apparently just randomly work with the interlaced footage So looks like I have to upgrade - Curse you Apple!

2 months agoHe commented on 24p problem in the Sony PMW-EX1 forum of the Sony EX1 Footage channelI'm editing in FCP on a PPC machine. I imported a couple of files using the XDCAM Transfer(v2.5.1) then it stopped working. Turns out it's only the 24p formated stuff that won't import for some reason the interlaced works fine. The files show in the transfer window but they are grayed out as opposed to the black file names of the other clips. I looked at the information window and there is nothing written by the codec line for the 24p clips. Anyone got any ideas or solutions?
