    yes I would recommend this brand but there is now a better version of this camera that shoots 1080p @ 30 fps and 720p @ 60 fps... I think it is about $160... and it shoots in compressed h.264 .mov files... This is great for iMovie and Final Cut. I do all my editing in Final Cut Express 4 on my 2.5GHz MacBook Pro...
