I picked up a nice Alligator Lizard on Saddle Mountain a couple hours west of Portland back in 2006. I have a couple of stills of him - should have shot video.... -

We've got the snappers here as well. Some get pretty big. -

4 months agoHe commented on Green Anole StandoffMark, thanks... and yes, a tripod would have made a big difference, but it wasn't really possible since I was on a 15 mile bike ride. Though I'm considering a monopod down the road.
I was zoomed all the way except for the last couple of scenes where I moved a little closer. But those tiny lizards spook easily, so I could only get so close. -
