Florida in winter. 80 degrees and we can still go to the beach. One of the things I love about this place.

Caladesi Island is just north of Clearwater and usually gets "2nd best beach in the USA" award every year. It's pretty nice.

Static provided by "circuit bent Sputnik".

I found this little guy on my walkway this morning. I think it's a baby mud turtle, but I'm not completely sure.

So, I picked him up and got my HV20. Shot a couple minutes of him in my hand before putting him next to the conserve area on my property.

You might not think that a couple feet of warm chain link fence is a big deal. But, to these 2 adult male green anole lizards, it's everything.

Watch as these 2 lizards stare each other down, head bob, and tail flick as the world passes them by. Fortunately for me, I had my HV20 along when I spotted the "action".

Location was Flatwoods park in Tampa, Florida on January 6, 2008. Shot outside on a Canon HV20 with a full zoom (these are only 6" long lizards with tail) - 24p, cine mode. Edited in iMovie05 on a Powerbook G4 and rendered in a matter of hours. Yes, hours!

Just like it says. Random things I shot with the HV20. Settings were 24p, Tv48. Not much else that I can think of.

Audio is edited from my podcast and is original.

For some reason, even though I checked "deinterlace", it still rendered with interlacing, then I ran it through JES Deinterlacer and still, it looks as though I have some interlacing. Not sure why.

I edited in iMovie05 and exported QT.

Messing around with the Canon HV20. Close up shots of useless electronics.

Shot in 24p, edited in iMovie05 on a Powerbook G4 12" 1.5GHz w/external 7200rpm drive. Also, I de-saturated some of the color.

Doing HD editing on one of these is slow to say the least. And, iMovie crashes often. Even though I love this laptop, it just doesn't have the horsepower for this kind of video editing. SD, no problem, HD, crash!
